Genuflecting Church Table

Broken Macbook under table; black box holding printer; and stapler.
Today's blog is being posted a bit later than usual. We're expecting long term guests in our home, in addition to the ant and spider colonies who moved in long ago.  So yesterday I had to spiff up the guest room. Our guest room is just one notch above a disaster shelter. It contains an uncomfortable bed, (essential for a guest room), a huge desk, and a massive cabinet that houses my personal museum. My museum includes a display of my extracted upper teeth, meant to repel the grandchildren so they don't mess with my miniature switchblade collection.
My computer was on the desk in that room. I decided to move it to the dining room temporarily so that I can continue blogging and paying bills.
In a sweet gesture, my husband offered to bring me a "church table" from the basement. The only church this table ever saw was St. Staples. I jumped up to help him up the last few stairs, but discovered the table weighed about 2 pounds.  He placed it against the dining room wall, next to my squirrel/bird watching station. Within minutes I had moved my printer, my broken Macbook which feeds my monitor, and various deskly necessities to the little table.
This morning, as I placed my coffee on the left of the "desk," I glanced out the window to see if anyone had stolen my box of plumbing parts that I had left on the deck. There was a loud bang, and I looked back in time to grab my coffee, which was pulling out of the station at a good clip and headed east toward the downside of the table.
This could have been a really bad accident for my electronic Command Center. Fortunately, I had placed the printer under the table on top of a box, and that stopped a total collapse.
So there will be a blog tomorrow. And it just might be about something from the museum.
