Ghost Boasters

A friend posted a story about ghosts in downtown Madison, Indiana, and asked for my thoughts. As the saying goes, "Everyone has a right to my opinion," so here it is.
The story was written in 2008 and mentioned ghosts in several downtown locations, including the library. Truthfully, there were more ghosts mentioned than there are actual citizens of downtown.
For several years. we lived with 7 of our kids (And a few that belonged to other people) in a very old house downtown, and very strange things happened there. We heard doors opening and closing, especially late at night, and creaking on the stairs. In the morning there would be food missing from the kitchen and furniture moved out of place. Often, in the middle of the night we smelled a strange odor, like burning rags. We heard footsteps above our heads in the attic. (Gosh, we hoped our teenage son was okay, he lived up there!) There were sounds like the clinking of glass and distant music, and all of it was unexplainable. Our kids were sound asleep.
Eventually we outgrew the house and moved to Madison's hilltop. We now live in a sort of mobile home because we can't find a place big enough to put the house.
