The success of any job depends on the right tools |
Before we leave, I will feed my son a tasty fried egg sandwich. After that, he'll be putty in my hands.
I will bring my tools, shown on the right, in case they need me to measure something up to six inches or saw through some whipped cream.
More than likely I'll toss a folding lawn chair into the truck so I can sit during those periods when I'm not working.
I'll bring coffee in a travel mug, and my best attitude for the event. I'll be full of advice and "back when I installed my first fence" stories and advice.
If any of my daughter's neighbors show up, I'll be the queen of hospitality, offering weather reports and advice on household projects. It will be my job to offer humorous observations throughout the day, and quip timely fence jokes. Finally, I'll be taking photos of the event, to chronicle the progress of the construction.
Yep, I'm up for building a fence, alright. But I'm tired just thinking about it.
