Words for Women

Famous painting of The Virgin Mary being lifted to Heaven.
Many people will attend church services today, and weave together the music, fellowship and traditions of Sunday morning that have been the wallpaper of our country since its inception. Those people are samplings, drops on the dipstick of the American population. Like all of us, they range from living saints to judgmental jerks, and they will receive their weekly message either from the signboard outside the church or they'll go inside and listen to male or female pastors, unless they're Catholic.

Famous female radio personality waiting for ratings.

In the last few years, lots of folks have turned their ears as well to weekday media voices, where some newscasters and commentators have risen to the revered level of evangelists.
Who hasn't heard the rantings of Rush Limbaugh, the Billy Graham of conservatism? He daily mentions that he was "sent from God,"making me wonder where the rest of them were sent from.

But women too have broken the glass ceiling of opinionated broadcasting. Last week, a famous female columnist implied that our society and our economy are being brought down by unskilled illegal immigrants. She expressed distress over a declining white population. I'm more concerned about the increase in long-necked white females in our country, especially those with Adam's Apples.

When women want their opinions to be publicly heard, they have several options. Many women have chosen evangelism, journalism, radio and TV broadcasting. Others are more at home gabbing over the back fence. Then there's the lowest level of communication: blogging.

There are other, more direct forms of expression such as yelling, making obscene gestures, writing hate letters and public scorning. Most of these forms have found their replacement in Facebook, which is a ready vehicle to express all of the above. Women make up 64% of all Facebook users. If you are one of them, I encourage you to change your profile picture to reflect your heavenly side.
Just don't show too much Adam's Apple.
