Labor Day 2012

I awoke this morning in a fog,

Fretting that there'd be no blog.
Last night we partied and shared a meal

People trick

With all the family - no big deal.

We laughed at the same old party tricks
Encouraged by our beverage mix.
The dogs had a scuffle, the kids had a ball
The food disappeared in no time at all.

A big SWAT Humvee joined our brood
Enhancing the festive party mood.
People tricks were on the menu;
In spite of an unplanned rainy venue.

We carried on into the night
Past my bedtime - an oversight!
I slept like the old proverbial log
And just now woke to post this blog.
